In her presentation, Dr. Amy Noggle will review her timeline, methodology, and results of her project, giving attendees a greater understanding of:

  • Laws related to Parts B and C of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).
  • Child care providers’ current knowledge of such laws, including state regulations.
  • Child care providers’ knowledge of the step-by-step process for making referrals if disability is suspected.
  • Implications for future professional development within the childcare community.
