The Hill-Lopes Scholars Program is Now Accepting Applications

Apply to the Hill-Lopes Scholars Program Today!

The Hill-Lopes Scholars Program provides dedicated, transformational support for STEM majors at Towson University to improve the advancement and retention of women in STEM fields. This multi-year program supports cohorts of scholars through community, professional development, and career exploration. Students with a declared STEM major in the Jess & Mildred Fisher College of Science and Mathematics are encouraged to apply. The Hill-Lopes Scholars program accepts 10 to 15 students each year who receive a $1,000 scholarship each year, as well as financial support to attend professional scientific meetings and to participate in career-building conferences, workshops and educational trips.

Eligible students must be enrolled in the Jess & Mildred Fisher College of Science and Mathematics, currently pursuing a major in either Biological Sciences, Chemistry, Computer & Information Sciences, Mathematics, or Physics, Astronomy & Geosciences, and have earned a 3.0 cumulative GPA.
