Open Masterclasses with Ingrid Laubrock through the Murray Jazz Residency

As part of the Murray Jazz Residency, the following open masterclasses with composer and saxophonist Ingrid Laubrock will be offered to the TU Community and beyond:

  • Monday, 3/31 at 2pm in CA 2092 – (Jazz Theory and Improvisation, specifically)
  • Tuesday, 4/1 at 11am in CA 2079
  • Wednesday, 4/2 at 2pm in CA 2092 (Jazz Theory and Improvisation, specifically)
  • Thursday 4/3 at 12:30pm in CA 2092 – (Music Industry Class, specifically)
  • Thursday 4/3 at 3:30pm in CA 2075 – Open Rehearsal with students

These masterclasses are free and open to the public, and offered in conjunction with to the two public concerts scheduled as part of the residency. Additional information about public concerts can be found HERE. 

Ingrid Laubrock is an experimental saxophonist and composer, interested in exploring the borders between musical realms and creating multi-layered, dense and often evocative sound worlds. A prolific composer, Laubrock was named a “true visionary” by pianist and The Kennedy Center’s artistic director Jason Moran, and a “fully committed saxophonist and visionary” by the New Yorker.
