Attention Exempt Staff Employees! First-Year Experience Advising Opportunity
The Academic Advising, Retention, and Completion Office is currently seeking First-Year Experience (FYE) advisors to support our first-year students. These advisors guide students in their first academic year to help them cultivate the knowledge and decision-making skills that are essential for future academic success and progress.
To be eligible for this program, you must be an exempt staff employee that does not currently perform advising functions in your role. Selected participants must commit to serving in this role for the full academic year, and attend required trainings (3 days in June, a half day in August, and the advising portion of Welcome to TU). Supervisors must approve any nominations to the program, and participants will be selected after an interview with the FYE leadership team.
Those that are selected and successfully perform the duties of an FYE Advisor will receive payment as follows:
- 7-10 advisee load: $500 per semester
- 15-20 advisee load: $1000 per semester
