Participants Needed for Kinesiology Research Study
Purpose: We are conducting a study to examine the effects of biological sex on vascular health.
Who: Adults 18-55 years old
Eligibility:
Inclusion Criteria: Healthy non-smokers aged 18–55 years with a BMI < 30 kg/m² who are recreationally active (engaging in moderate-intensity aerobic or resistance exercise for ≥80 minutes per week).
Exclusion Criteria: Smoker, BMI > 30 kg/m² (calculate your BMI here), musculoskeletal injury, cardiovascular disease, or metabolic disorder. Inactive individuals or competitive athletes, women who have not had a menstrual cycle for >1 year, and individuals with circulation conditions (e.g., Raynaud’s phenomenon)
What to Expect: One lab visit at Towson University (1-1.5 hours)
Testing Includes: Health and physical activity questionnaires, Blood pressure and vascular measurements, Body composition analysis (DXA)
