Spring 2025 Postal Service FAQs
Welcome back, Tigers! Postal Services is here to remind you that we offer residential students more flexibility for mail and package pick-up during the academic year.
Commuter Students:
Commuter students have the option of Amazon locker pick-ups only.
What Residential Students need to know:
- Most mail and packages will be available in our package lockers in the University Union, which are accessible anytime the Union is open. For the University Union building hours, please go to https://www.towson.edu/campus/landmarks/union/.
- Additional package lockers are on the Union Garage’s ground level, providing 24/7 access to your mail.
- Residents will be notified via email when mail or a package is ready to pick up. This email will also include instructions on where your items will be located.
- Some items, including larger packages, will only be available at the postal services customer service counter during office hours. Postal Services’ pick-up is available Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Pick-up information:
- Even if your package carrier (FedEx, UPS, USPS, Amazon) sends you a message about your mail delivery being on campus, it may still not be ready. TU must process and account for the delivery.
- Please wait for an email from TU Postal Services before picking up the item from the Postal Services package lockers, Amazon Lockers, or Postal Services Office.
- Typically, packages and letter mail will be available within 1-2 business days after you receive notification from the delivery company.
- Please check the top of the email for where the package will be available—locker or Mail Room Pick-up. If “Mail Room,” please be ready to provide your “mailbox” number for quicker service.
Delayed Packages:
Sometimes, packages are not appropriately addressed, which delays delivery and processing. Please include the following to receive your mail:
- First & Last Name
- 8000 York Road, Mailbox number, Towson, MD 21252
- If the delivery company has not notified you of your delivery for more than three business days, please send a detailed email with your tracking number, first and last name, TU ID number, and mailbox number to postoffice@towson.edu. We will research the information and respond within two to three business days.
Please visit us at Post Office | Towson University, chat with our team through our website, or email us at postoffice@towson.edu if you have any questions.
