Commemorate Black History Month with the Black Faculty & Staff Association (BFSA)
Join the BFSA weekly online on Wednesdays to commemorate Black History Month
February 5, 10-11:30am – Leadership Panel: TU’s Senior VP Vernon Hurte, VP Patricia Bradley, and AVP Eric Jones will join us to talk about their career journey and some tips for professional growth. This session is recommended for all who are navigating the workforce.
February 12, 1-2:30pm – Speed Networking: Come to this session to make connections and learn more about the work of your colleagues around campus. Attendees will be placed in small breakout rooms to facilitate discussions. This session is recommended for all looking to expand your professional circle.
February 19, 9-10:30am – Faculty Panel: Dr. Eric Karikari, Dr. Danice Brown, and Dr. Tara Blackshear will join us to discuss how to create your academic identity and how they navigated the tenure process. This session is recommended for all faculty, and anyone interested in becoming faculty, and staff who support faculty.
February 25, 2-3:30pm – Supporting Students: Join this session to learn how faculty and staff can connect with and support students on campus. We will learn how student support is a focus of us all. This session is for all faculty and staff.
