There’s still time! Opt into Duo MFA before Feb. 18 or be auto-enrolled this spring

If you’re not using Duo Multi-Factor Authentication yet, enroll before the spring semester starts. Opt in now to control your enrollment timing!

Here’s why:

  • Using Duo will soon be mandatory. Check it off your list now! Students not using Duo before Feb. 18 will be enrolled alphabetically by the university, sometime between Feb. 18 and April 30. Or you can opt in now.
  • You’ll determine timing. Enrolling now allows you to know exactly when you’ll be required to use Duo and gives you time to try out the prompts and generating codes before classes start.
  • Get peace of mind. Knowing your accounts are secure allows you to focus on your studies.

Here’s how to get set up in less than three minutes:

  • Download the Duo mobile app from the App Store or Google Play.
  • Enroll your device (and a backup device) at towson.edu/netid. It’s the same system you use to manage your NetID and password.
  • Authenticate. The next time you log in to a TU system like M365, you’ll be prompted to enter a code from the Duo app.

Don’t wait—choose your timing and get secure now so you have one less thing to worry about!
