Winter Break 2024 – Contingent II Exempt Staff
Towson University will be closed on December 20, 2024, for Administrative Leave and winter break from December 23, 2024, through January 1, 2025.
Staff in departments that observe non-traditional work hours and schedules or perform essential functions should discuss coverage with their supervisors.
Please review the information below as a guide to completing your timesheet for winter break:
- 12/20/24 – record leave code. Leave the day blank if you work an alternative schedule and would not otherwise work on Friday.
- If you have pre-planned leave scheduled for 12/20/24, you will use leave code ADMCU instead of your earned leave.
- You must be in an active, paid status to earn holiday leave.
- If you perform work on a particular day, record the pay code REG and the hours for the day.
- Use leave code HLCTE on December 25 and January 1.
- If an employee does not usually work on a day in which a holiday falls, the employee will need to remove the hours from that day and leave the day blank.
- Holiday hours are pro-rated based on an employee’s FTE, not your schedule.
- December 23, 24, 26, 27, 30, and 31 – all employees must use accrued annual leave (ALCTE) or remaining accrued holiday leave (HLCTE). Leave Without Pay (LWOPC) should be recorded if the employee does not have accrued leave.
Timesheets should be completed, submitted, and approved on Thursday, December 19, 2024.
If you have questions about completing your timesheet, please email finservehelp@towson.edu.
If you have questions about your leave, please email leavebenefits@towson.edu.
