Don’t forfeit your 2024 leave!
For all Regular Exempt, Non-Exempt, 12-month Faculty and Librarians, the last day to use unused leave hours that will otherwise be forfeited is Tuesday, 01/07/25.
- Forfeited leave hours will not be carried over into the next calendar year.
- Unused Personal Leave earned in 2024 must be used on your timesheet on or before Tuesday, 01/07/25, or the hours will be forfeited.
- Unused Holiday Leave earned in 2024 must be used on the timesheet on or before Tuesday, 01/07/25, or the hours will be forfeited.
- For Contingent Employees, unused Holiday Leave earned in 2024 must be used on the timesheet on or before Friday, 01/10/25.
- Floating Holiday hours earned in 2024 (02/19/24, 10/14/24, 11/5/24, 11/11/24) are typically used to cover Winter Break days when the University is closed (12/23/24, 12/27/24, 12/30/24, 12/31/24).
- Employees may carry 50 days (400 hours) into the next calendar year for Annual Leave. Any annual leave hours exceeding 400 must be used on the timesheet on or before Tuesday, 01/07/25, or the hours will be forfeited. This includes any accrual hours earned during PPE 01/07/25 that exceed 400 hours.
