Call for Student History Forum Participants

Students shape the legacies of their colleges and universities, but their unique experiences are not always recorded or remembered. Let’s change that.

Are you an undergraduate or graduate student interested in student history at TU and beyond? Are you curious about how student perspectives are collected and remembered across the country? Would you like to change the way students are included in the stories of colleges and universities? Let’s talk!

We invite you to participate in two virtual focus groups alongside undergraduate and graduate students, academic archivists, and faculty from across the country to discuss themes of student outreach, awareness, engagement, and belonging on college and university campuses. Your insight will directly inform suggestions for how outreach efforts at academic archives can become more “student-centered” to better preserve stories, voices, and experiences like yours.

Anyone over the age of 18 who is currently enrolled at an institution of higher education in the United States with an expected graduation date of May 2025 or later is eligible to participate. Participants must commit to attending a half-day virtual forum on Saturday, February 1st, 2025 (12:00-5:00 pm EST) and a full-day virtual forum on Wednesday, June 4th, 2025 (11:00 am-6:30 pm EST) via Zoom.

Participants will be compensated $375 for their time.

If you are interested in participating, please complete this brief pre-screening questionnaire: https://towson.az1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_9no9VNUE5iehSWW. If selected to participate, you will be notified via email by the project team in early December.

If you have any questions, please contact the Principal Investigator, Ashley Todd-Diaz (atodddiaz@towson.edu).

Thank you for considering!
