NSF makes changes to Research.gov login process
Having issues logging into Research.gov? Since October 27, 2024, the U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF) has required multifactor authentication (MFA) for Research.gov. Users must set up a primary MFA method, which they’ll use for each login.
What does this mean for you?
To access Research.gov, you need to complete a one-time MFA setup. NSF recommends choosing a phishing-resistant MFA. Without enrolling in MFA, you won’t be able to log in.

Training resources, guides, and FAQs are available on the Research.gov Help page. Please contact the OSPR team at ospr@towson.edu with any questions.
