FACET Scholar Application – due November 8, 2024
The FACET Scholars program is now accepting applications. Apply to be a FACET Scholar
Applications due by November 8, 2024, at 11:59 p.m.
The program’s purpose is to advance faculty research, with guidance from a nationally known scholar in the faculty member’s area of study. All Assistant Professors, Associate Professors, and Library Faculty are eligible to apply. At least three awards will be given to tenure-track Assistant Professors or Librarians I and II, who are in their first four years at Towson University. All academic disciplines are welcome. If you are a TU tenured senior faculty member, you may be interested in applying to the Provost’s Research Fellows program.
FACET Scholar applications will be reviewed by a committee of TU faculty. The committee will select up to six scholars.
Each successful applicant will:
- Receive a $2,000 stipend to support original research, to be carried out from January through December 2025,
- Receive mentorship from a senior scholar in the FACET Scholar’s field.
- Present findings to the university community in Spring 2026.
