Exploring the Depths: A Research Study on Open-Water Swimming Experiences
Are you a seasoned open-water swimmer or just dipping your toes into the world of open-water adventures? We’re looking for passionate swimmers to share their experiences and help us explore what makes open-water swimming in the Chesapeake Bay so exhilarating!
This study delves into both the experiential and performance aspects of open-water swimming—how athletes train, prepare for different events, and adapt to changing conditions. But we’re also curious about the broader connection between the body and the environment. How do your senses engage with the water? How does swimming in natural settings affect your health and wellness? And how do environmental changes shape your experience?
If you’re ready to tell your story, here’s how it works:
- Share Your Journey: Begin by filling out a brief demographic survey and consent form.
- Tell Us More: Once completed, we’ll invite you to a 30-60 minute interview where you’ll dive deeper into your experiences, from your training regimen to how your body responds to the natural world around you.
- We Work with You: We’ll schedule the interview at your convenience—whether you’re training for your next swim or just looking to relax and reflect.
