Title: Exploring the wonders of the Universe from Baltimore, Maryland

Abstract:
The largest NASA space telescopes are currently being operated from our own Baltimore City. Both the Hubble Space Telescope (HST) along with the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) have an incredible synergy and potential to continue pushing the limits of our knowledge about the Universe, including its very birth. In this talk I will provide a brief overview on the history of one of the oldest, and still operating, space telescope, HST. I will discuss how in spite of its age, HST continues to be essential in Astrophysics, providing scientific coverage that no other telescope can. I will highlight some of the most unexpected discoveries made with HST, and contrast them with the most recent scientific findings with our new JWST. In the last few minutes, I will share my un-conventional path in Astronomy, a journey that started in a small town in the North of Mexico.
