Sometimes called deceptive publishers, predatory publishers are exploitative academic publishers that don’t provide rigorous quality control. In this hourlong workshop, we’ll cover ways to determine whether a publisher is predatory, deceptive, and/or low-quality and third-party tools you can use to find more information about any journal you’re curious about. We’ll also discuss predatory conferences and other related issues. Registration Required.
