Call for Nominations for the Board of Regents Faculty Awards

The Board of Regents’ Faculty Awards are the highest honor presented by the Board of Regents to exemplary faculty members within the University System of Maryland (USM). These awards publicly recognize distinguished performance by faculty members in:

  • Teaching
  • Scholarship or Research
  • Creative Activity
  • Public Service
  • Mentoring

Each Award carries a $2000.00 prize provided by the intuitions and the University System of Maryland Foundation.

Faculty who are interested in applying need to first consult with their college dean and get their approval. The first five pages of the application are due to jnance@towson.edu by the end of business on September 27, 2024.

  • a summary resume
  • a one-page essay from the nominee describing how he or she has contributed to excellence in the category of the nomination
  • a letter of recommendation from the department chairperson or college dean
  • brief documentation of exemplary achievement summarizing the materials listed in the guideline for the category
