2024 Constitution Day in Towson

9/17/24 | 5:00 P.M.  | LA4310

The Constitution Day event at Towson University is an annual tradition that celebrates the foundational document of our nation, providing a platform for students to engage in critical discussions about the fundamental values of our democracy. Most recently, we focused on the issues of voting rights (2022) and the equal protection clause (2023). This year, we are focusing on the vital intersection of religion and freedom. We have two eminent scholars in the field of religious freedom whose respective talks will offer our students, faculty, and staff a unique opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the constitutional right to religious freedom, its historical context, and its significance in shaping some of the most critical political debates of our time.
