Students: save these top tech resources!
There are lots of ways to access TU’s technology and get support! Use these resources to help you get started with the fall term:
- Technology support: Contact the OTS Technology Support Desk for tech issues, including residence hall internet, software problems, or multimedia equipment/studios bookings. We’re available by chat, phone, appointment, and in-person: towson.edu/techsupport.
- Technology essentials: Get an overview of TU’s important services like NetIDBlackboard, OneCard, printing, Wi-Fi, email, etc. New, resident and returning students can get started with tech services for students. TU uses Blackboard for courses and the Bb team is here to help!
- Online Security: Beware of phishing emails. Report suspicious emails to phishing@towson.edu then delete, and be cautious of job posting phishing scams asking for W2s, direct deposit forms or gift card purchases.
- Extra protection for your TU account: New students use Duo Multi-Factor Authentication, and returning students can opt-in now at towson.edu/netid or be auto enrolled by spring 2025. Learn more at towson.edu/duoproject.
- Software: Microsoft 365(Outlook, OneDrive, Excel, Word, etc.) for free on up to five devices. Find other recommended free and discounted titles at towson.edu/studentsoftware.
