Starting Aug. 1: Changes to the TU phonebook directories
Changes are coming to the TU phonebook directories starting Thursday, Aug.1. Here’s what to expect:
- A login will be required to access phonebook directories. Info will be protected by a login using a valid TU NetID/password and you’ll access faculty/staff info the same as the student directory. Faculty and staff will use Duo when accessing both. No login will be needed for viewing Offices & Services.
- A modern look.
- Improved and broadened search capability: search by name, building, office, etc. by typing in one text field.
- Streamlined process for entries: new employees will be automatically added to the directory with basic details, including name and hiring department. This employee info is pulled from HR records (same as used for NetIDs and Outlook), and phonebook coordinators will be able to update location, phone and title in a listing.
- Simplified access for phonebook coordinators, system administrators and TUPD. These groups have their own links for accessing billing, updating, reporting and other important info.
No downtime is expected during the launch of this improvement. If a listing needs to be edited on or after Aug. 1, contact your phonebook coordinator. If you notice any errors submit a TechHelp to the OTS Telecom group.
