Join Beth El’s Rabbi Mark G. Loeb Center for Lifelong Learning, in partnership with the Sandra R. Berman Center at Towson University, for an exclusive private screening of the movie, Farewell Mister Haffman, followed by a discussion with Drs. Hana and Eyal Bor.
Based on a stage play, this movie is a story of the unsafe situation of Jews in WW2 in occupied Paris. The story, focused on a Jewish jeweler and a French family, takes place over the period from early 1941, not long after the Nazis occupied part of France until the end of 1942.
The film is in French with English subtitles.
