Sabbatical Presentation by Kyohei Abe, Department of Art + Design, College of Fine Arts and Communication

Kyohei Abe, Associate Professor in the Department of Art + Design, Art History, and Art Education, presents his sabbatical presentation on Thursday, May 16 from 1 p.m.- 2 p.m. in CFA 4005. The title of his presentation is, “Printed Matter: A Sabbatical Reflection”

This presentation explores a new collection by Kyohei Abe. The work delves into the domains of visual translation, construction, and serendipity. By drawing on principles of semiotics and the essence of signs and signifiers, the discourse delves into the ways cultural symbols and images can be dismantled and reimagined within the realm of artistic expression.
