Araminta Freedom Initiative: Learn How to Get Involved in the Mission to End Child Sex Trafficking in Maryland and Beyond

Tuesday, April 30, 2024, 10:30am-2:30pm, CLA 2400A

Join the students of PSYC 430 in their partnership with the Araminta Freedom Initiative to raise awareness of modern slavery: Child Sex Trafficking. Learn why Maryland is a hotspot for Child Sex Trafficking and how we can support awareness and prevention initiatives. This CLA Tabling Event will allow individuals to review available information and survivor stories, observe fliers made by students, ask Araminta Staff questions, and learn of volunteer opportunities. Please note that materials at the tabling event involve sensitive topics which may be triggering for some individuals. Information on how to seek support will be available.

Any questions can be directed to Associate Professor and Clinical Psychologist, Dr. Erin Girio-Herrera (Course Instructor), at egirioherrera@towson.edu. Visit https://aramintausa.org/ for more information.
