Tell a researcher some stories!
Researchers in the Department of Speech-Language Pathology & Audiology are recruiting participants for a study about how people tell stories. We are interested in hearing from potential participants who are:
- Either on or off the autism spectrum
- Of all genders (especially non-cisgender identities)
- Using various communication strategies, including speech and/or augmentative/alternative communication (AAC).
The study involves an online screening questionnaire, one research interview (in-person or virtual), and a follow-up online survey. The interview includes 2 standardized tasks and 4 stories. Participants who complete both questionnaires and the interview will receive a $20 gift card.
To participate, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Be a United States citizen
- Communicate in American English using speech and/or alternative means (e.g., speech-generating device full- or part-time)
- Agree to have your stories and questionnaire responses recorded and analyzed by researchers.
If you are interested, email dinocommlab@towson.edu to request a link to the screening survey.
Please share this invitation so we can reach as many people as possible!
