Join us to celebrate Study Abroad Day today!
Celebrate National Study Abroad Day with TU’s Study Abroad & Away Office! TU students can participate in any or all the events below, regardless of whether they have studied abroad (yet!) during their time at TU.
STUDY ABROAD & AWAY SCAVENGER HUNT
Follow @towsonuabroad on Instagram to follow along on our scavenger hunt. Four (4) Golden Tickets will be hidden around campus throughout the day that can be redeemed for prizes at the Study Abroad & Away Office. One lucky winner will receive a $500 Study Abroad Scholarship (applicable for approved study abroad programs for use prior to graduation). One prize per person.
FREE PASSPORT PHOTOS AT THE CAREER CENTER
The first step to studying abroad is making sure you have a valid passport! A passport is a great investment – it is a reliable form of ID and adult passports last for 10 years. Stop by the Career Center in UU 225 between 11am and 1pm to get your passport photo taken for free. More information will be available on-site to help you navigate the passport application process.
STUDY ABROAD & AWAY GROUP ADVISING
Ready to take the next step? Our Group Advising session is mandatory for all students (except those participating in faculty-led programs). The group meeting tells you everything you need to know about the study abroad/away process including how to search for programs, how to apply, financial aid and scholarships, and course, grade, and credit transfers. The meeting lasts approximately 45 minutes. In-person sessions are held Monday through Friday at 2 PM in Psychology Room 408. Virtual sessions take place on Mondays and Thursdays at 11 AM via Zoom.
INTERESTED IN STUDYING ABROAD IN THE UNITED KINGDOM?
Join the Study Abroad & Away Office in Psychology 407 at 4pm to learn about semester-long opportunities to study abroad in the UK. We will discuss available TU exchanges, TU in Scotland programs, what studying in the UK is really like, and more.
