Study Abroad in Ireland during Summer 2024
Explore cultural diversity and social justice in healthcare across the pond in Ireland in Summer 2024. Spend time in Dublin, Cork, and Galway, while developing your cultural understanding through immersion. Deepen your appreciation of what it means to be a healthcare professional through site visits to healthcare and higher education institutions and organizations. Seminar discussions, cultural activities, guest lectures, and volunteer opportunities will give you a broader perspective on the social components of health and healthcare.
Program highlights include visits to Dublin’s largest acute care teaching hospital St. James’s Hospital, Trinity College Library and the Book of Kells, Kilkenny Castle, University College Cork, the Irish Center for Human Rights, the Cliffs of Moher, the Aran Islands, and more.
Participants will take NURS 416 Cultural Diversity In Healthcare (3 credits, Core 13) with Professors Mary Sharon Curran and Briana Snyder.
The application deadline is March 15, 2024. Full program details and the application are available in Horizons.
For more information, contact Professor Curran and/or Professor Snyder. You can also contact the TU Study Abroad & Away Office by email, by calling 410-704-2451, or by online chat at towson.edu/abroad.
