General technology help for TU employees
- OTS’ Faculty/Staff Help Center: chat, call 410-704-5151 or schedule an appointment.
- Online: submit a question or request support through TechHelp.
- 24/7: search the TechHelp Knowledge Base, access technology self-help resources or see resources for working remotely.
Instructional and classroom support for faculty
- For help with setting up and working in Blackboard (course setup, tools, Gradebook, integrations like VoiceThread, Panopto, etc.), contact TU’s Blackboard team.
- For learning to use or help with classroom audio/visual technology, contact Classroom and Computer Lab Technology (CCLT) for chat or self-support, or call 4-TECH (410-704-8324).
- For support with multimedia in student coursework and/or assignments, see how Student Computing Services can help.
- For guidance on applying best practices for teaching and learning and course design, contact the FACET Instructional Design team in Academic Affairs.
Tech topics, resources and what’s new
- Changes to login process: The new but familiar TU login screen (Single Sign-On) and Duo Verified Push four-digit code process continues to roll out to TU systems. Learn more at towson.edu/duo.
- Changes to Blackboard: Courses are moving to Blackboard Ultra for Fall 2024, and you’re encouraged to move your courses now. Visit the Faculty Ultra Course organization site for help.
- Wi-Fi: connect to the correct network, report issues and see quick troubleshooting fixes.
- See TU’s software options.
- Report suspicious email: forward it to phishing@towson.edu from any device or use the “report phish” button in Outlook.
