‘Can’ Your Citation Food Drive Extended till Dec 15!
The ‘Can’ Your Citation food drive is back for the 2023 holiday season to benefit TU’s FoodShare program. Beginning Monday, Nov. 27, Parking & Transportation Services will begin collecting canned goods, nonperishable items, and toiletries to reduce or waive citations. During the most recent food drive, students, faculty, and staff helped collect over 2,000 items.
Here’s how it works.
Qualifying citations must have an issue date between Oct. 23, 2023, and Dec. 15, 2023, and must not be under appeal or already transferred to the TU affiliate’s University Billing account. Accessibility (Handicap), safety such as fire lane or roads, prohibited, misuse of permit, and altered permit citations are not eligible for consideration.
Donations should be brought to the Parking and Transportation Office, located on the lower level of Union Garage. Please be advised, only one citation can be reduced or waived during the food drive. Any citations that have incurred a late fee must have food donation to cover the fine amount and late fee. Donors are welcome to give to the food drive, whether they have outstanding citations or not. Learn more about acceptable donations at www.towson.edu/parking.
If you have further questions about the ‘Can’ Your Citation Food Drive, please contact the office at upark@towson.edu or 410-704-PARK (7275), select option #1.
