International Education Week is here-celebrate with us!

TU International is pleased to invite all students, faculty, and staff to participate in International Education Week 2023. This joint initiative from the U.S. Departments of Education and State highlights new and continuing international activities on campus. It starts Monday (Nov. 13) and will continue throughout the week with events, interactive activities, information sessions and more!

Today’s Events:

Wednesday, November 15

Ghana: Global Mamas Fair Trade
When: 9 am
Where: Zoom- click here for registration
Join team members from both Ghana and the United States to learn about the history and practices of “Fair Trade”, exactly what it means, and how you can integrate fair trade choices into your life. Hosted by Study Abroad Association.

International Career Information Session
When: 11 am- 12 pm
Where: Psychology Building, Rm #407
Your passport to an international career! Peer Advisors from the Study Abroad & Away Office are hosting a session for interested students to learn about exciting options for taking your career overseas. Discover what opportunities are available to you now to prepare for an international career.

International Photo Booth
When: 11 am- 1 pm
Where: UU 205
Picture yourself abroad or away! They say envisioning your goal is the first step. Stop by this event to choose your destination and props, and let us do the rest. A copy of your photo will be sent to you digitally.

Global Messages of Kindness
When: 12 pm- 3pm
Where: UU 2nd Floor
Spin the wheel to receive a handwritten message from a TU international student in their native language (with English translation).  Leave a message in response and win a prize.

How to Pay for Study Abroad and Away
When: 12 pm – 2 pm
Where: UU 0222
Learn about funding options available to help support your study abroad or away experience including federal aid, grants, loans, scholarships, and fundraising. 

Study Abroad & Away Group Advising
When: 2 pm
Where: Psychology Building, Rm. #408
Come to a group advising session to learn about studying abroad or away with TU.

LGBTQ+ Abroad and Away Panel
When: 3pm
Where: Psychology Building, Rm. #407
Join the Center for Student Diversity and the Study Abroad & Away Office for a panel discussion on some of TU’s LGBTQIA+ community members’ experiences abroad and away and learn more about specific scholarships and programs of interest
