International Education Week is here-celebrate with us!
TU International is pleased to invite all students, faculty, and staff to participate in International Education Week 2023. This joint initiative from the U.S. Departments of Education and State highlights new and continuing international activities on campus. It starts Monday (Nov. 13) and will continue throughout the week with events, interactive activities, information sessions and more!

Monday, November 13
Chalk the Flags
When: 11 am – 1 pm
Where: Tiger Plaza
Join the TU International team to chalk world flags in Tiger Plaza and learn about upcoming IEW events.
Study Abroad & Away Pop-Up Science Fair
When: 11 am – 1 pm
Where: Science Complex 3rd floor
Join biology professor Dr. Sarah Haines and the Study Abroad & Away Office to learn about study abroad/away opportunities for students in the Jess & Mildred Fisher College of Science & Mathematics
International Walkway Flag Rotation
When: 12 pm – 12:30 pm
Where: Tiger Plaza
Join the International Student & Scholar Office and TU international students to raise 22 country flags that represent and celebrate TU’s vibrant diversity. Flags to be flown this semester include: Antigua, Argentina, Australia, Bangladesh, Bermuda, Cambodia, Canada, Chile, Costa Rica, Germany, Ghana, India, Kenya, Mali, Myanmar, New Zealand, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, South Africa, Thailand, United Kingdom and Uzbekistan!
Study Abroad & Away Group Advising

Come to a group advising session to learn about studying abroad or away with TU.
Medellín, Colombia: A Journey through Vibrant Art and History

Explore the transformation of one of South America’s most vibrant and colorful cities- Medellín, Colombia! Join our local guide in visiting iconic sites, such as the Memory Museum and the sculptures of Fernando Botero, while engaging through quizzes and interactive polls. Hosted by Study Abroad Association.
Study Away for International Students
When: 4 pm
Where: Psychology Building, Rm. #407
See more of the USA while you are an international student at TU! Learn about short-term faculty-led study away programs and the National Student Exchange – both great opportunities for any TU student to explore other parts of the United States awhile earning academic credit towards their degree. Join us for an information session and FREE PIZZA!
