International Education Week starts tomorrow!

TU International is pleased to invite all students, faculty, and staff to participate in International Education Week 2023. This joint initiative from the U.S. Departments of Education and State highlights new and continuing international activities on campus. It starts Monday (Nov. 13) and will continue throughout the week with events, interactive activities, information sessions and more! Check out the schedule of events planned so far for a taste of what’s to come! We hope to see you next week.

Monday, November 13

Chalk the Flags
When: 11 am – 1 pm
Where: Tiger Plaza
Join the TU International team to chalk world flags in Tiger Plaza and learn about upcoming IEW events.

Study Abroad & Away Pop-Up Science Fair
When: 11 am – 1 pm

Join biology professor Dr. Sarah Haines and the Study Abroad & Away Office to learn about study abroad/away opportunities for students in the Jess & Mildred Fisher College of Science & Mathematics

International Walkway Flag Rotation

Join the International Student & Scholar Office and TU international students to raise 22 country flags that represent and celebrate TU’s vibrant diversity. Flags to be flown this semester include: Antigua, Argentina, Australia, Bangladesh, Bermuda, Cambodia, Canada, Chile, Costa Rica, Germany, Ghana, India, Kenya, Mali, Myanmar, New Zealand, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, South Africa, Thailand, United Kingdom and Uzbekistan!

Marketing Your International Experience

Serving in the Peace Corps is a great way to immerse yourself in a new culture, learn a new language, and have the experience of a lifetime. Your passport to an international career! Peer Advisors from the Study Abroad & Away Office are hosting a session for interested students to learn about exciting options for taking your career overseas. Discover what opportunities are available to you now to prepare for an international career.

International Photo Booth

Picture yourself abroad or away! They say envisioning your goal is the first step. Stop by this event to choose your destination and props, and let us do the rest. A copy of your photo will be sent to you digitally.

Global Messages of Kindness

Spin the wheel to receive a handwritten message from a TU international student in their native language (with English translation).  Leave a message in response and win a prize.

How to Pay for Study Abroad and Away
