About the Speaker
JoAnna earned a Bachelor of Science in Geology from Towson University in 2018. Since then, she has worked with both federal and state agencies, as well as a private engineering company. Currently, JoAnna works for the Volcano Disaster Assistance Program (VDAP), a partnership between the U.S. Geological Survey and U.S. Agency for International Development’s Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance (BHA). I contribute to the development of a Daily Global Volcanic Activity Report, a collaborative effort between VDAP and the Smithsonian Institution’s Global Volcanism Program (GVP).
