Pedestrian Detour Notification: CHP Construction
As construction progresses on the CHP building, the perimeter construction fencing will be expanded to accommodate additional construction activities in this area and to provide safety for pedestrian traffic in and around the job site. The closure is necessary to install major utility infrastructure for the new building.
This will result in the temporary closure of a portion of the sidewalk along University Avenue east of the CLA building, as indicated on the map included below. This temporary detour will be in place from 9/5/23 through 12/22/23. A temporary asphalt pathway has been installed, routing pedestrians to a modified accessible crossing across University Avenue and allowing connections to the existing sidewalk at University Avenue and Linthicum Drive. Please follow all detour and traffic control signage.
