Wear Orange THIS FRIDAY (September 1st) for Social Media Takeover in Support of Hunger Action
Hello, Campus Partner,
We hope this email finds you well! This Friday is the start of Hunger Action Month, and we’re calling on the entire Towson University community to come together and make a stance against hunger here on campus.
Hunger and food insecurity are complex issues that affect individuals in college across the country. We believe that as a caring and united community, we can raise awareness of this issue and take action to support those in need. Our goal for this Hunger Action Month is to “Orange Out for Hunger” on campus and on social media for the First Day of September – as orange is the symbolic color of the movement and we’d love for you to join us in this endeavor.
How to Participate:
- Wear Orange THIS FRIDAY, September 1st!
- Snap a photo of yourself and/or your department in your orange gear.
- Share your photo:
- Email thehub@towson.edu
- OR
- Share to Instagram using #TUHungerAction and Tag @TheHubatTU
- Email thehub@towson.edu
By participating, you’re not only joining a movement but also sending a powerful message that hunger has no place on our campus. Additionally, we’ll be recognizing the most spirited participant or department as Towson University’s Best Hunger Action Month Advocate with a certificate. It’s a wonderful opportunity to showcase your enthusiasm and commitment to this important cause.
We’ve attached a visual to this email that provides details about the initiative. Please feel free to share it with your colleagues, social media, students, etc. and encourage them to participate as well. Thank you for your support and your dedication to making our university a caring and compassionate place for everyone.
Let’s turn Towson University orange!
-Your friends at The Hub (the program that is now housing the FoodShare)!
