Human Resource Development in Italy (Study Abroad Opportunity)
Study human resource development in Italy with Towson University in Spring Break 2024! How can understanding culture from a historical, societal, and interpersonal perspective help inform HRD practices in today’s globalized world? Through a comparative examination of the values, ideas, and practical applications of work in the United States and Italy, participants will gain an understanding of human behavior and cognitive processes through the exploration of organizational behavior theories, their application in the real world, and how they are shaped by cultural variation. Students will observe concepts first-hand through interactions with local residents, scholars and students from local universities, employees from local organizations, and guest lectures related to the local culture of Italy.
The program is based in Rome and Florence and includes visits to local businesses, guest lectures, and cultural activities including visits to Vatican City the Colosseum, and the Forum, and a day trip to Pisa.
Participants will take HRD 665 International Human Resources: Issues and Applications with Professor Faizan Imtiaz. *This opportunity is for graduate students only.
The application deadline is October 15, 2023. Full program details and the application are available in Horizons.
For more information, contact Prof. Imtiaz by email, the TU Study Abroad & Away Office by email, by calling 410-704-2451, or by online chat at towson.edu/abroad.
