Democracy Today Common Book Event with George Packer, author of “Last Best Hope: America in Crisis and Renewal”

TU College of Liberal Arts welcomes the acclaimed National Book Award-winning author, George Packer, as he discusses his recent novel “Last Best Hope: America in Crisis and Renewal.”

Packer presents an argument on a divisive American society starting with his analysis of the four Americas: Free America, Smart America, Real America, and Just America. Through exploring ways to overcome the positional barriers between these groups, Packer seeks solutions to move towards a singular American identity rooted in equality.
