Campus Race to Zero Waste – Surplus Furniture
Did you know that discounted surplus furniture is available on TU’s ReUSE shop website? You can find desks, chairs, storage, and more all at a discounted price! Surplus furniture that can’t be resold is often donated to non-profits, reducing the amount of furniture heading to the landfill!
Faculty and Staff can submit an MMSR to dispose of any furniture. All furniture is vetted for potential reuse and/or donation before being responsibly dispose of. Contact Material Management (materialmanagement@towson.edu) if you have any questions.
Students with unwanted furniture are encouraged to donate to local non-profits or save the furniture and donate it during the move out yard sale. Search furniture items in our new digital waste directory, Know Before You Throw, to find out how to best dispose of your items.
