Registration open for upcoming Mental Health First Aid Training

The next course takes place March 1 and March 3 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., in person in Burdick Hall. Mental Health First Aid is a 2-day course that will help you to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illnesses and substance use disorders. The training gives you the skills you need to reach out and provide initial help and support to someone who may be developing a mental health or substance use problem or experiencing a crisis.

This course is open to all TU Faculty, Staff and students at no cost to provide resources to support TU students in crisis and reduce stigma surrounding mental health and substance use problems.  The course will be “blended-learning” and require two hours of self-paced pre-work prior to the instructor-led session. Register at recreation.towson.edu by clicking on Adult Mental Health First Aid and selection the March 1 and 3 course. Attendance at both 4-hour sessions are required for completion.
