Heads Up: License Plate Visibility Required for Campus Parking
Parking & Transportation Services would like to remind the TU campus community that vehicle license plates need to be visible and facing outward toward the drive lane when parking on campus.
Vehicles without a front license plate must pull forward into parking spaces instead of backing in to ensure efficient and accurate parking enforcement. Our License Plate Recognition (LPR) system depends on visible plates to scan and verify permits. To avoid a citation, park facing forward if your vehicle only has a rear plate. You can park in either direction if your vehicle has both rear and front plates.
This regulation allows parking enforcement to verify permits easily and help ensure that parking spaces are available for permit holders. Vehicles parked without plates or with blocked or unreadable plates may be cited.
We appreciate your cooperation.
