Traffic impacts of BGE upgrade project
This week BGE is beginning a long-term project to upgrade natural gas pipes and equipment in the Towson communities north and east of campus. The project may include temporary sidewalk closures and one-way traffic in the project area highlighted below. BGE asks everyone traveling in the area to obey parking signs and flaggers posted in the area.
Impacts to Community Members
BGE contractor Northern Pipeline Solutions (NPL) will access, inspect and potentially replace the gas piping at properties in the project area. If your property is in the impacted area, you will receive a notification letter in the mail with directions on how to schedule an inspection appointment. After receiving the letter, BGE asks that you contact the authorized contractor to schedule your inspection and replacement as soon as possible. Not scheduling an appointment will result in door-to-door contact and possibly service interruptions.
