How to get technology help
- General: OTS’ Faculty/Staff Help Center: chat, call 410-704-5151 or schedule an appointment.
- Blackboard: TU’s Blackboard team.
- Online: submit a question or request through TechHelp
- Classroom Technology at 4-TECH (410-704-8324), chat or self-support.
- 24/7: search the TechHelp Knowledge Base, access technology self-help resources or see staff resources for working remotely.
Tech topics & resources
- Microsoft and Duo secure login screens have a new look.
- Student email, calendar and file storage accounts are moving from Google to Microsoft 365. If you have used Google Drive to share files with students in the past, you will need to start using OneDrive instead. Learn more about the project and timing at towson.edu/M365forStudents.
- Connect your device to the correct campus Wi-Fi network.

- Blackboard is transitioning to Blackboard Ultra in Fall 2024. Visit our Faculty Ultra Course organization site to register for the self-paced 14-week asynchronous course, plus get support and one-on-one training from a TU Blackboard Administrator. Bookmark the site for updates, resources and to register for upcoming workshops including a synchronous session option.
- Access support options for using multimedia in student coursework and/or assignments.
- Get free or discounted software.
- Report suspicious email: forward it to phishing@towson.edu from any device or use the “report phish” button in Outlook.
- Follow us on social media for tech info that affects the campus, including Blackboard, cybersecurity, classroom technology topics and major computing service outage news: Twitter @TechAtTU and Facebook @TechnologyAtTU. Alerts only can be followed at @OTSAlerts.
