Know Before You Throw is our new searchable waste directory that allows you to find the proper waste disposal stream for items commonly used on campus. Simply search an item and the tool will tell you how to properly dispose of that item. Don’t see an item? Use the tool to suggest which items should be added.
Know Before You Throw will help take the guessing and confusion out of recycling. Try it out! Search for materials like “wrapper”, “newspaper”, “Styrofoam”, or “food scraps”.
