International Education Week: Today’s Events

TU International is pleased to invite all students, faculty, and staff to participate in International Education Week 2022. This joint initiative from the U.S. Departments of Education and State highlights new and continuing international activities on campus. It starts Monday (Nov. 14) and will continue throughout the week with events, interactive activities, information sessions and more!

Today’s Events:

Chalk the Flags
11 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Tiger Plaza
Join the TU International team to chalk world flags in Tiger Plaza and learn about upcoming IEW events.

International Walkway Flag Rotation 
12 p.m.
International walkway between the College of Liberal Arts and the Psychology Building
Help celebrate TU’s international students at the University’s flag rotation ceremony.

Creative Confluence: South Asian Community Reflections, Connections, and Dialogue 
11 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Asian Arts Gallery
Discover the intersecting and distinct experiences of 21 South Asian artists who share their perspectives on lineage, self-identity, ideas of homeland, spiritual traditions, sensory experience, and connections to the natural world.

The Fulbright U.S. Student Program provides fully funded grants for individually designed study/research projects, graduate degree programs, and English teaching assistant programs outside the U.S. Fulbright operates in more than 140 countries worldwide and awards grants in nearly all fields and disciplines.

A conversation with the founder, Dr. Armin Mruck and Dr. Nicole Dombrowski-Risser from TU’s Department of History. Join us as we look back at 35 years of TU’s partnership with Carl von Ossietsky Univsersitaet in Oldenburg, Germany. Coffee and an opportunity to meet with Dr. Mruck and Dr, Dombroswki-Risser following.
