A TU Campus Conversation: Becoming a Hunger Free Campus
Today is the first day of National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week. During this week, communities across the country come together to draw attention to problems of hunger and homelessness.
Hunger and homelessness is an issue in our TU campus community as well.
The Office of Civic Engagement and Social Responsibility, the Division of Student Affairs, the FoodShare, and the Office of Sustainability are hosting A TU Campus Conversation: Becoming a Hunger Free Campus today. The program serves as an opportunity for our campus community to engage meaningfully with each other, process the implications of hunger on our campus, and work to advance an institution in which every person can thrive.
The program will include a panel discussion followed by facilitated small group conversations.
Panelists include:
Dr. Anthony Skevakis, Associate Vice President for Student Affairs and Dean of Students
Faith Borras, AmeriCorps VISTA, FoodShare
Dr. Jillian Fry, Associate Professor, Department of Health Sciences
Thomas Potter, Student; Board Member, Food Recovery Network
Amarachi Anyadike, Student; Public Health Intern at TUNE
Please join the conversation today (November 14) from 5 – 7 p.m. in the University Union, Room 302 E. The program is open to faculty, staff, and students. A meal will be provided and an RSVP is required.
We hope to see you there.
