New Deputy Chief Information Officer
This message is shared on behalf of Benjamin Lowenthal, CFO and Vice President for Administration & Finance, and Susan Miltenberger, CIO and Associate Vice President for the Office of Technology Services:
We’re pleased to announce that Kevin Balsbaugh is TU’s new deputy chief information officer.
Kevin was most recently the chief information officer at a health sciences-focused higher education institution where he implemented a technology strategic plan that advanced the overall institutional mission. In that role, Kevin had direct oversight for customer support teams, spearheading transformational improvements in customer service, reliability and response times. He will bring valuable insight and expertise to OTS as we continue to strengthen the customer experience and support TU’s pursuit of R-2-Doctoral Carnegie Classification.
In addition to his more than two decades of technology and leadership experience, Kevin holds an Information Security MBA from James Madison University and a bachelor’s degree in Information Systems from Eastern University.
The hiring committee who selected Kevin did an exceptional job leading a highly competitive search. We’d like to thank Tim Bibo, Lavern Chapman, Miriam DesHarnais, Kelly Hoover, Erin Nueslein, Todd Langenberg, Patrick Rohe, Anthony Skevakis, Carol Wettersten and Matt Wynd for their time and dedication to bringing the best person on board.
Kevin started on Oct. 26. Please join us in offering him a warm welcome to TU!
