The Center for Student Diversity and International Student and Scholar Office present, “Reel Bad Arabs,” a documentary about how Hollywood vilifies a people, based on a book written by Jack Shaheen.
Come watch the documentary “Reel Bad Arabs” and be a part of an enlightening conversation about how Hollywood has reinforced the stereotypes about Arabs and Muslims throughout the years.
We will talk about the detrimental effects of the negative portrayal of Arabs and Muslims on these populations and what part has the American media played in perpetuating these effects.
The screening and discussion are on Tuesday, Oct. 25, from 4 to 6 p.m. in the University Union, Auditorium Room 324.
