Football 2022 Parking Information

Parking & Transportation Services would like to notify the campus community about parking for Football game days for the remainder of the 2022 season.

  • Lot Closures:  For Homecoming (Oct. 22, 2022), all lots will close in the evening, and lots will re-open four hours prior to game time for fan parking. On Nov. 5 and Nov. 19, all lots around the stadium (4, 5, 6, 7, 8 & 8a) will close six hours before the game time.  The interior of Lot 8 will close the evening before. Unauthorized vehicles remaining in the area are subject to citations and towing at the owner’s expense.  Game day parking permits will be required to park in Lots 6, 7 and 8.
  • Parking: Lots 4, 5 and all core campus garages, and non-residential lots will be available for General Parking four hours prior to game time.  No permit is required to park in these areas.  Parking will be available on a first come first serve basis.  Once the general parking lots 4 & 5 near the stadium fill up, general parkers will be redirected to the Union Garage.
  • Tailgating: Tailgating will be allowed in designated areas only and must be in accordance with established tailgating policies.  No tailgating is permitted in any garages.
  • Tents: Due to safety concerns, no tents are allowed in Lot 5. Tents are permitted in other areas as outlined in the tailgating policies.  Tents must be secured with a weighting system (no stakes) and can’t be placed in a parking space or blocking traffic flow in drive lanes.
  • Transportation: Paratransit service for those with mobility needs, will be provided 4 hours prior to game time through 1 hour after the game ends.  No other game day shuttles will be provided. Gold route shuttles will operate on normal schedules.  No Gold route service will be provided to the Lot 5 shuttle stop, 4 hours prior to game time through 1 hour after the game ends.  Service for the stadium area will only be available from the Towson Center/Lot 8 bus slip.
