TU Global Sport Leadership in London, UK
Study abroad in the UK in Spring Break 2023! This spring 2023 course (with travel to London during Spring Break) will provide students the opportunity to experience a dynamic and cosmopolitan city while developing professional skills as a global sport leader. Participants will explore the history and culture of sport in London as well as the goals and purpose of sport at the international, professional, amateur, and community-based levels.
The program features guest lectures by leading industry professionals from a variety of sport and performance-related organizations in the UK, visits to multiple sport and training venues, and attendance at local sporting events. Highlights include a visit to Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, a guided tour of Craven Cottage (home of Fulham F.C.), and a cricket skills session at Lord’s Cricket Ground.
Participants will choose to take either KNES 285 Sport: Cross-cultural Perspective (3 credits, Core 12) or KNES 494 Travel and Study in Kinesiology (3 credits) with Dr. Jacob Bustad and Dr. Jessica Minkove.
