TU Career Exploration and Professional Development in Spain
Gain an international perspective on career development and the workplace in Barcelona. Engage with international employers and secure real-life skills you will use when you embark on the job search – how to write a resume, cover letter, interview, network, financial literacy, and so forth. This program features visits to companies and organizations in Barcelona and guest lectures from industry experts on career related topics.
Set in the Mediterranean as a top tourist destination, Barcelona has a thriving economy and is consistently ranked one of Europe’s best cities for quality of life for workers. With so much history, creativity, industry, culture, language, and more, Barcelona is the ideal setting in which to learn and gain professional skills!
Cultural highlights on this program include a Spanish tapas cooking class, flamenco show, day trip to Montserrat, visit Park Güell, architecture/city bike tour, market food tour, Barceloneta Beach, tour of La Sagrada Familia, and more. No prior knowledge of Spanish is required.
Participants will take EDUC 121 Personal Life and Career Planning (2 credits) with Marcy Lightfoot.
