TU The Vietnam Wars in Global Context
Explore Vietnam and Cambodia with Towson University in summer 2023! Learn about U.S. involvement in the Vietnam War along with the experiences of other nations during, before, and after the American Vietnam War, or as the Vietnamese refer to it, “The American War.” Spend time in Ho Chi Minh City, Danang, Hanoi, Hoi An, Phnom Penh, and more. Program highlights include visits to National War Museum, the War Remnants Museum, and the Air Force Museum; excursions to the Cu Chi tunnels between North and South Vietnam near the DMZ and the renowned temple complex at Angkor Wat; and an overnight cruise on the Mekong River.
Participants will choose to take either IDIS 494 Travel and Study in Interdisciplinary Studies (3 credits) or HIST 494 Travel and Study (3 credits) with Dr. Robert Rook.
Full program details and the application are available in Horizons.
